How about a favicon? I think that green circle with the line running through it would be clear enough. Just something to distinguish it from the rest of my sites in the awesome bar (its amazing how different it makes things)
Rep: +2
Done :)

How about a logo with a light bulb?
Rep: +2
Working on a new logo, although lightbulb might be too cliche :P
Rep: +2
How about some new presets:
-Already available (blue)
- This is a decent idea (purple)
The idea may already be out there, and some ideas are alright, but not "great"

I like the current logo..

How about letting us put links in these comments?

You can already :)

Cool - my bad.

Hate to burst your bubble, but the clock is out by 12 hours. Or just maybe the AM and PM are swapped... [edit: have noticed user settings but now the time seems out by 20 mins?]
Also, How about making a large "Add comment" button at the bottom of the idea which bounces the user down here to where I'm writing right now. (Original feedback, not a reply to other feedback).
I think this is a great idea, though. The site I mean... :¬)

*Corrected problem with time.
I want to avoid making it too easy for people to blindly add comments since if they skip past reading the existing comments, they're more likely to repeat something that might have been said already.

How about making the favicon reflect the actual status of the post you're viewing?

That might be cool, but I don't think the browser refresh the favicon every page reload.
Rep: +1
How about the little icon that shows the progress of this "idea" (red, green orange etc) next to the idea title?
How about gus being able to change the sign in? (like facebook to windows live.) Not that I want to, but for feature use

Login ID management is on the "to-do" list, but is not very high priority since it's most applicable to most users.
Rep: +1
As suggested by dkitchen, timed deletion of comments
Rep: +3
How about showing how users have commented in their profiles.
For instance, I was reading one particular idea in my idea that didn't really make any sense, and after viewing their comments profile, I realised that they thought that many other ideas weren't good and provided no specific reason.
By having a graph showing how they have voted in the comments, we get a better understanding at what sort of person they are

Reputation, anyone?
Rep: -1
si
Rep: +2
How about work like engadget does and the lower the rep, the comment will be hidden or grayed out, and a user can have the option to view it or ignore it?
Rep: +2
Yeah, that'd be great. -5 should be a good threshold for automatically hiding comments.
Rep: 0
Those who abuse it can also get their rep score lowered
Rep: +2
Hey, how do you get access to my to-do list?!
Rep: +3
Yep. It already does that, at -10 I believe :)
Rep: -8
Well, let's check it out then. If you're reading this, please demote this comment. Let's get it to -10 and see what happens. Go on, you know you want to.
Long: hope you don't mind this bit of harmless testing :)

Check the user settings. ;)

Trés cool, thanks!
Rep: +2
What about a "Already available" preset? Perhaps make it blue.
Rep: +2
How about a private messaging system, to converse with other users without involving the whole community?
Alternatively, a way to send email to a user (without exposing said user's email address if they've chosen to hide it).
Rep: -1
I think this is a great idea. How about an option to disable the personal message

Rep: +2
How about an ignore list? Posts and comments from users you add to it would be hidden, just like low-rep comments.
(Gotta give credit where credit is due - I never would've thought of this if it weren't for Chris362.)

you make the "Here an idea," image at the top link to the Publish page, or make Publish Idea button larger, like build the homepage around the button or something. How about
Rep: 0
How about text/tag filters, so we can exclude stuff from the front page that we don't want to see? For example, if I'm working on a project and want to do it "clean room", so to speak.
Still, I think this is a great idea (the website, that is!)

I'm not sure this will work. Because how would you know what to block and what not to block? You might block something that will be posted in a few weeks and it may be a very good one
Rep: 0
Text filters. I can say I don't want to see anything with, say, "Twitter client" in it.
(I meant personal view filters, not global post filters.)

Is there a way to make customized subsections of this page, like you did with Windows Taskforce?
What's the best way to group similar ideas or discussions...
Rep: +1
What do you mean? The taskforce never had any customization on the submission page before.
If you're asking for is how to group similar ideas, then it's tags.

How about deleting the rep points (positive or negative) given out on a thread/comment that's deleted.
Rep: +2
How about the ability to track an idea as it's developed. So you'd have the number of revisions at the top, and be able to click through them (1: Idea when it was a baby, 2: idea once it's been discussed, 3: etc 4: etc)
Rep: 0
How about having the ability to delete accounts.
Rep: 0
Err... why?
Got something to say? Hold that thought for a moment as you need to sign in to post a comment.
